Yoga can Improve the Blood Circulation to Brain

Blood circulation is an important process in our body. The more it is circulated to various organs of the body the more oxygen they receive and hence more active and healthy the organs will be. Through various physical exercises we can increase the amount of blood circulated to the various body parts but how about brain? Can we move our head in different directions and increase the circulation? Certainly not. So, some or the other techniques should be there to increase the amount of blood circulated to the brain. One such technique which is found affective to do that is yoga.

Yoga do have some inverted poses in which we need to make our body upside down and continue for a particular time. This helps the brain to receive maximum amounts of blood along with sufficient amounts of oxygen and hence yoga definitely increases the blood flow to the brain and the other parts of the central nervous system.

These breathing techniques not only increase the circulation to the brain but also keep the blood pressure levels normal. This helps in lowering the stress and the strain on the brain and increases the inner peace. Different techniques are used to regulate the blood flow and each technique has its own benefits. The regular practice of these techniques helps in better waste disposal, cleansing of central nervous system, increased immunity and hence improves the efficiency of the body.

The major poses involved in increasing the blood flow to the brain are bridge pose, inverted V plank, and the head stand pose. Regular walking and running also serves the same purpose. Inverting the body helps in the effective circulation to the lower parts of the body which helps in the regeneration of the body and the brain tissues. However, an expert supervision or advice is mandatory in doing the above poses to get fruitful benefits from the yogic exercises.
