Global Navigation Satellite System

Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) is the standard generic term for satellite navigation systems that provide autonomous geo-spatial positioning with global coverage. A GNSS allows small electronic receivers to determine their position, a few meters within a time using the signals transmitted along a line of sight by radio from satellites. The receivers on the ground with a fixed position can also be used to calculate the precise time as a reference for scientific experiments.

Starting in 2007, the United States NAVSTAR Global Positioning System (GPS) is the only fully operational GNSS. The Russian GLONASS is a GNSS in the process of restoring the full exploitation. The European Union’s Galileo positioning system is a new generation of GNSS in the first phase of deployment, scheduled to be operational in 2010. China has indicated it may extend its Beidou navigation system in a regional global system. India’s IRNSS, the next generation of GNSS is in the development stage and should be operational by 2012.

History and Theory: Early predecessors were the ground DECCA, LORAN and Omega systems, using radio transmitter’s long land instead of satellites. These systems of radio broadcast from an impulse known master location, followed by a repetition of the pulse of a number of slave stations. The time between receiving and sending the signal to the slave is carefully controlled, allowing receivers compare the time between receipt and the time between shipments. From this point of the distance to each of the slaves could be determined by providing a patch.

The first satellite navigation system has been Transit, a system deployed by the United States Army in the 1960's. Transit 'operation was based on the Doppler Effect: the satellites traveled on the known paths and broadcast their signal on a frequency well known. The frequencies are slightly different from the frequency of circulation due to the movement of the satellite with respect to the receiver. By monitoring the frequency of this change within a short span of time, the receiver can determine the location on one side or the other of the satellite, and several of these measures combined with a precise knowledge of satellite’s orbit may fix a particular position.

Part of a satellite in orbit around l 'broadcast included precise information on its orbit. To ensure accuracy, the US Naval Observatory (USNO) continuously observed precisely the orbit of the satellites. As a satellite’s orbit deviated, the USNO would send updated information to the satellite. Subsequently broadcast from a satellite will contain updates the most recent and accurate information on its orbit.

Modern systems are more direct. The satellite broadcasts a signal containing the satellite position and the precise time the signal was transmitted. The position of the satellite is transmitted in a data message which is superimposed on a code that serves as reference timing. The satellite uses an atomic clock to maintain synchronization of all satellites in the constellation. The receiver compares the time of broadcast encoded in the transmission of receipt measured by an internal clock, thereby measuring the time of flight of the satellite. Several of these measurements can be made simultaneously at different a satellite, which allows a continuous set to be generated in real time.

Tips To Paint Your Kitchen Cabinets

At this time many people chose to paint outdated kitchen cabinets to give them an updated look. Inevitably this leads to trying to figure out where you should stop and start painting on your kitchen cabinets. Recently I have painted my Orlando apartments kitchen cabinet. Here are some suggestions I have learned over the years for understanding where to stop and where to start painting when painting the surface of you kitchen cabinets.

  • First you have to look your existing kitchen cabinets if they are super dark outdated brown then you need to paint the entire exterior and interior surface of your kitchen cabinets to really update them. It is never a good idea to paint the fronts of old kitchen cabinet doors and surfaces and then leave the old dark brown to be seen the second you open them.
  • Take the cabinet doors off and be sure to paint them in their entirety. These means the front and back. While those are drying you should paint the entire inside for the kitchen cabinets. Use an oil based paint when possible. This will last longer and be so much easier to clean.
  • If you are interesting to paint your kitchen cabinet white or a light cream that are already light inside, then remove your kitchen cabinet and also use the painter’s tape to mask off the very backs of the doors, starting right at the edge and paint the front and the sides of the kitchen cabinet.
  • Painting inside cabinets is best avoided at all costs unless you are willing to use oil based paint. Always tape off before you starts priming or painting. This way you can make the significant decision of where you should start and stop painting when resurfacing your own kitchen cabinets.
If you using these simple steps will guide to more expert results that will really add worth value to an obsolete kitchen cabinet.

Criticism Of Economic Regulation

Some economists said economic regulations has the considerably limits and also they argue that government should limit its involvement in economies to protecting negative individual rights rather than diminishing individual autonomy and responsibility for the sake of remedying any sort of putative market failure. They tend to consider the idea of market failure as a misguided contrivance wrongly used to justify coercive government action to further various political agendas, such as mercantilist or egalitarian goals. And these people consider that government involvement creates more problems than it is supposed to solve as well-meaning as some of these interventions may be chiefly because government officers are unable of accurate economic calculation, lacking any reliable ability to gather, integrate, or honestly evaluate the vast amounts of information that guide the Invisible Hand of a free market. And other argue is the minimum wage law, they said it cause unnecessary unemployment, for the same reason that a minimum price on anything will decrease the quantity of it that people purchase. If a minimum wage law is passed that makes it illegal to pay less than M per hour, employers will continue to keep on payroll only those workers whose hourly work brings in more than M in revenues. Another argument against regulation is that laws against insider trading reduce market efficiency and transparency. If a firm is "cooking the books," insiders, without restraint on insider trading, will take short positions and lower the share price to a level that aggregates both insider and outsider knowledge.

Dinosaurs and the origin of birds

We have the considerable evidence that birds are theropod’s dinosaurs, because they are the members of Maniraptora, a group of theropods which includes dromaeosaurs and oviraptorids, among others. As scientists discover more non avian theropods that are closely related to birds, the previously clear distinction between non-birds and birds has become blurred. The oldest known bird, the Late Jurassic Archaeopteryx, is well-known as one of the first transitional fossils to be found in support of evolution in the late 19th century, though it is not considered a direct ancestor of modern birds. Protoavis texensis may be even older, although the fossil’s fragmentation leaves considerable doubt regarding whether it was a bird ancestor. The dromaeosaurids Cryptovolans and Micro raptor may have been capable of powered flight to a similar or greater extent than that of Archaeopteryx. Cryptovolans had a sternal keel, and ribs with uncinate processes, and in fact makes a better "bird" than Archaeopteryx, which lacks some of these modern bird features. Because of this, some paleontologists have suggested that dromaeosaurs are actually basal birds, and that the larger members of the family are secondarily flightless. Although ornithischian (bird-hipped) dinosaurs share the hip structure of modern birds, birds are thought to have originated from the saurischian (lizard-hipped) dinosaurs, and therefore evolved their hip structure independently. In fact, a bird-like hip structure evolved a third time among a peculiar group of theropods known as the Therizinosauridae. An alternate theory to the dinosaurian origin of birds, proposed by a few scientists, states that birds evolved from early archosaurs like Longisquama; this theory is contested by most paleontologists.

Health hazards using handsets

The World Health Organization has concluded that serious health effects (e.g. cancer) are very unlikely to be caused by cellular phones or their base stations and expects to make recommendations about mobile phones in 2007–08. Mobile-phone use while driving is common but controversial. Cell phones make our lives easier. They allow us to always be accessible. We use our phones just about anywhere in stores, airports, restaurants, movie theaters, and, of course, in the car. I think its safe to say that most cell phone owners have used their cell phone while driving. In recent months, there has been much discussion questioning the safety of using cell phones while driving. Recently super-model Nikki Taylor was seriously injured in an automobile accident where the driver admits to the accident resulting from him reaching down to answer his cell phone. An expert panel in Britain offered cell-phone safety a guarded endorsement late last week. The 12 scientists, physicians, and lay members found that, to date, the balance of evidence indicates that mobile phones don't harm health. However, the committee did compile ample indications that cell-phone emissions can induce biological changes--the health significance of which remains open to interpretation. Therefore, the panel concluded, "it is not possible at present to say that exposure to cell-phone radiation, even at levels below national guidelines, is totally without potential adverse health effects." Cell phones also causes other problems like headaches, memory problems, and dizziness.

Business schools

A business school is a university-level institution that confers degrees in Business Administration. It teaches topics such as accounting, finance, information systems, marketing, organizational behavior, strategy, human resource management, and quantitative methods.

Types of Business School
They include schools of business, business administration, and management. There are four principal forms of business school.
  • Most of the university business schools are faculties, colleges or departments within the university, and teach predominantly business courses.
  • In North America a business school is often understood to be a university graduate school that offers a Master of Business Administration or equivalent degree.
  • Also in North America the term "business school" can refer to a different type of institution: a two-year school that grants the Associate's degree in various business subjects. Most of these schools began as secretarial schools, and then expanded into accounting or bookkeeping and similar subjects. They are typically operated as businesses, rather than as institutions of higher learning.
  • In Europe and Asia, some universities teach business only.
Approaches to Business School
In contrast to the case method some schools use a skills-based approach in teaching business. This approach emphasizes quantitative methods, in particular operations research, management information systems, statistics, organizational behavior, modeling and simulation, and decision science. The goal is to provide students a set of tools that will prepare them to tackle and solve problems.

There are also several business schools that still rely on the lecture method to give students a basic business education. Lectures are generally given from the professor's point of view, and rarely require interaction from the students unless note taking is required.

Tips For A Smooth Relocation

Relocating is an exciting effort for many reasons. You may reposition for a better job, or a new opportunity like a bigger living space, or for better environment. You might be really looking forward to moving to a new place and new experiences. But if it is not carefully planned, relocating might be a difficult and stressful experience. Here are some suggestions for an effective and smooth relocation.
  • Try to hire a reputable moving company. Some companies like Apartments in Philadelphia help us to select a reputable one. If the company is not competent enough, you might end up in absolute confusion. Also work out the costs and payment method upfront. You don't want to have the moving company hold your belongings hostage something that they've been known to do when payment arrangements go awry.
  • First Inquire about the area, make sure that the schools are good and to make sure there won't be any surprise construction around your new home. And also consider the change in the cost of living factor. And also check the facilities like transportation, banks, shopping complexes etc.
  • Be mentally prepared. Moving to a new place, and leaving friends and family behind can be very stressful. Relocation can be very hard, especially on children who have to make new friends at a new school.
  • When you are moving out with your pet, make sure it gets a comprehensive medical check-up by the vet. Try to bring all the requirements in terms of pet food, pet medicines, collar, leash, kennel and the like. Also ensure that the pet has an identification tag with your new telephone number or your cell number if it isn't going to change for a while.
Planning certain things in life makes them go much smoother. With these tips in mind your relocation should be a smooth.
