What is the Purpose of Green Fishing lights

Green fishing light is a fishing light attractor which is used to attract the fishes for fishing. This light is used as a fishing aid. Green fishing lights are available in several models with different technologies.

Purpose of green fishing lights:
Green fishing light is a submersible light, used for the sake of congregating fishes at one place. Among the different fishing lights available, only green color is preferred because, the organisms in the food chain of the water have color receptors which are sensitive to the light in their 'space'. Here space refers to the surroundings of the fish in water. Pure water containing little particulate matter appears blue in color and the water which is rich in nutrients and contains photosynthetic phytoplanktons is green in color. Hence, when a green light is submersed in water, it gives the fish an impression of a consumable thing in the area and attracts them. In this way, fishes get accumulated around the area of green light.

Initially, after immersing the fishing lights in water, small fishes, insects or shrimps get attracted to the light and congregate in huge amounts around the light. This further follows aggregation of large fishes, due to the huge population of small fishes. In this way, green fishing lights make the process of fishing easy.
