What are the Different Techniques of Yoga Cleansing?

In our daily life, we clean our body externally like bathing, brushing to remove dust particles but what about the toxins which are present inside of the body. Yoga cleansing techniques will help remove these toxins from our body to keep body stays healthy. These cleansing techniques are performed by some postures or processes which help cleanse and
refresh your body, mind and soul by practicing yoga on a regular basis. However, these processes differ in types of Yoga you choose.

The Yoga techniques for cleansing your body are as follows:

Shuddhikriyas are different cleansing processes. These are not meant to be practiced daily but they are used when cleansing processes are needed.

Agnisardhouti or Agnisarkriya is a type of shuddhikriya which is a Yoga cleansing move. This technique cleanses the digestive system. In order to clean the system it involves quick movements of the stomach.

Kapalbharti is a cleansing technique relates to the breathing process. It involves cleaning wind pipe and also meant to have a good effect on brain.

Neti is a cleaning process which cleans the nasal passages, the pharynx, and the sinus cavities.

Vamandhauti is a Yoga cleansing ritual involving washing the entire digestive tract; include the mouth, the small intestines, the esophagus and the stomach.

Tratak is a technique which can be used to increase mental focus and the blood supply to your eyes, strengthening them.

Basti is a method of cleansing the large intestine. It is a special treatment that should only be administered by a trained practitioner.

Dhauti is a process which cleanses the stomach. It includes different types Vamana Dhauti, Danda Dhauti and Vastra Dhauti.

Nasagra drishti is a process of purifying mind.

These cleansing techniques are used for internal purification of the body. Some techniques are hard to do and need few or no equipment. You practice these techniques under the experienced Yoga teachers because if you practice these techniques wrongly, it may harm your internal organs. So better know the procedures of these techniques and try to do under the supervision of a good Yoga practitioner.
