Actually it is really hard to compare the present situation of IT industry from the one few months back. It was those IT companies that embellished the IT guys to worthless extent.
I am sure they are paying now for those mistakes.
Let’s go to the good times before recession. People were rich (compared to present). Companies were craving for good people. Finance and IT sectors were ruling the global economy along with the soaring Oil prices interfering sometimes. Technology companies like Microsoft and Google are the spearhead for this trend.
It was the compensation levels in the IT industry that made people go after them crazily. The compensation levels of CIOs and IT executives were increasing rapidly since few business quarters. Slowly there was a shift in this craze to outsourcing countries and faded here.
Whatever may be the reason, it is a bad thing to run after something crazily for instant things.
