Inflexibility Should not be an Excuse to Avoid Yoga

Many people hesitate to take up yoga because they feel they are not flexible and cannot make different poses and postures in yoga. But this is not at all true, say the experts. Even the people with tough muscles and stiff structure can undoubtedly do yoga and can become more flexible.
They can convert their excuse of being inflexible to yoga as a reason for practicing yoga. There is nothing to hesitate to do yoga even though you have tough muscles and not able to touch your toes. Yoga is all about making you flexible and fit.

Its not about making the inflexible people flexible. Yoga can make the flexible people even more flexible while enjoying its health benefits. It is not some thing to achieve medals or to stand first in the team, it is a personal work out which has to be done for our individual benefit. Everyone has a different set of problems, and hence different forms of yoga will be practiced by them. Hence there is no point in competing with them or to perform better than what the others do.

Many people are not actually flexible. For such people consistent practice of yoga makes the people naturally flexible over time. They can observe consequent increase in their flexibility levels even after few classes. This brings positive energy in you which makes you feel like you can do anything, and all you want to do is to try it out. This positive energy makes you do well with the remaining session of yoga and you can see your muscles become longer and suppler in a short period of time.

Never feel competitive in the class. Make yourself as your competitor. Try to perform better than your previous practice or sessions. Only this factor helps you in achieving your goal to be healthy and flexible. Since every person has his tailor made style of yoga it is not useful to treat others as your competitors and that attitude will never help you. If there are any doubts in your sessions, make it a habit to clarify them by asking the instructor directly, so that you can get a proper solution for your query and have good inputs to enhance your performance.
