Mouth ulcers are the sores or open lesions on the delicate tissue which cause pain in eating or drinking. These are the common but mostly harmless and they appear inside the mouth. A small percent of patients may have severe pain.
These are usually found on gums inside the cheeks, inside the lips or on the tongue. These are common in people in all ages including children. There is no certain specific cause but there are wide ranges of causes that may take into consideration that may cause mouth sores or ulcers.
The causes include food habits like spicy or hot foods, eating chocolates or candy, usage of a toothbrush, digestive problems, stress, vitamin and nutritional deficiencies particularly vitamin-B12 and vitamin-C.
